The entrance was the beginning of the extravagant interior. You’ll just keep on looking around you and thinking WTF?! Even the toilets were golden including the walls. Everything had bright colors and lights. Before the show starts, you’ll be seated in a waiting room, but even there you get entertained by people.
After the wait you’ll be brought to the show. You’ll get seated in a long rectangular hall with on both sides seating areas. Before the show starts and inbetween shows there are breaks where you can go to the toilet or get a snack/merchandise.
And then.. the show begins! Almost immediately I was thinking: “Where did I end up?!”, “Robot Restaurant? Where are the robots?!” and “Did I seriously pay 60 euros for this show?!”. It’s really crazy and absolutely something you’ll only see in Japan, but personally I don’t think it’s worth the money. Some parts of the show were cool, for sure, but my overall opinion is that it was weird most of the time and I wouldn’t visit the Robot Restaurant again. My acquintance went there two years ago and he said back at the time the entrance fee was about 30 to 40 euros and even that was a bit too much for a show like this.
Nevertheless I can find good reviews on the internet, so some people must love it! So yeah, when you’re in Tokyo and you’re still curious about this show, then just go for it! 🙂
