Bibimbap at the Bab

The Bab is created by Pyo & Sunny. Together they selected a menu from a variety of Korean food selections. It is not just authentic, but what generally Korean loves at home, in the street or in the restaurant they usually go in their daily life in Korea.
All recipes are created by Sunny Kim, mother of 2 lovely kids Ian & Eden, A lady who loves food, fashion and Amsterdam, of course. Pyo believed Sunny’s food can attract anybody who loves food and together we decided to open our first restaurant in Amsterdam.
There still is so many Korean food that Pyo & Sunny would like to share with us in the future, so they want to have some time to develop this and give us a more and better experience of Korean foods.

On the menu you can find two types of Bibimbap, but what’s the difference?
The Dolsot Bibimbap is served in a hot stone pot which is the only difference. After being served, put sauce as you like and mix them by chopsticks, enjoy the sound of food still being cooked on your table while mixing them.
In both Bibimbap you’ll have a selection of seasoned vegetables, half cooked fried egg with choice of Bulogi (Stir fried beef) or Seasoned fried tofu. Served with Spicy sauce.

Korean Fried Chicken, a bowl of white rice, Kimchi and Kimchi Jeon (Korean pancake).

After a delicious dinner there always is place for Korean dessert. At the Bab they serve ‘Ho Tteok’ (also known as Hotteok, pronounce it as ‘Hoo Tok’).
Ho Tteok is a Korean sweet pancake filled with various nuts and caramelised brown sugar, served with a scoop of icecream. Normally being sold at food trucks, but The Bab turned it into their only dessert on the menu.
